About
We exist to close the gap between intent and action, bringing TeamBirth’s resources to the clinicians and patients who need them most.
Unravel Healthcare Alliance funds TeamBirth implementations at labor and delivery units that cannot pay for them, so the families who stand to gain the most are not the last to benefit.
Why we exist
TeamBirth works. Paying for it is the problem.
TeamBirth is in more than 300 hospitals across 24 states and 5 countries. The units that need it most often have the least room in their budget. Rural hospitals, safety-net hospitals, and units serving communities with the worst maternal outcomes are the ones priced out. The Alliance exists to take price out of the decision.
Unravel Healthcare
Trains the care team, supports the rollout, and measures what changes on the unit.
Unravel Healthcare Alliance
Identifies the hospitals that qualify for TeamBirth but don’t have the budget to cover it, and funds their twelve-month implementation through Unravel Healthcare.
Mission & board
Who is accountable for this.
The Alliance is governed by a volunteer board that approves every hospital we fund and every dollar we spend. Our board members bring a wide range of experience to a shared commitment: advancing innovation and advocacy in maternal health.
